ScooterQuest ‘08 follows three friends as they travel across the Eastern coast of the United States.
We’re sitting at a gas station in Wisconsin about 50 miles from Madison so I figured now would be a good time for an update.
We’ve made bad time so far, but only because Sean’s scooter blew up. Fortunately we were able to get it on a trailer and car so we have a support car now which we’ll alternate driving. We should be back on schedule by tomorrow but will be changing our route to adjust to the time lost.
We did end up having a lovely evening in Prescott with two locals, Derek and Jeanne. You should add us on Facebook (dustin saunders, sean blake, mike venske) and come hang out in uptown sometime.
Anyways,-the breakdown caused issues with the live streaming but we hope to have those all fixed. If there is downtime now it should only be for a short time. The 3G networks are pretty lame so we’re relying on EVDO. And this keypad is tiny, pardon spelling errors.
Big updates later tonight when we hit Chicago.
-Dustin
It all started in 2007, with a friend driving from Minnesota to Utah to grab his scooter. Once Dustin Saunders reached Utah, he rode his scooter back to Minnesota with nothing but his friends and the will to drive it back against all odds. In 08' Dustin, Michael, and Sean embarked on a 3000+ mile trip unscathed. Ever since then, we travel in the name of adventure to the most epic places in America.
