ScooterQuest ‘08 follows three friends as they travel across the Eastern coast of the United States.
See that!? It’s time, slipping away!
Alright, full disclosure: I’m kinda freaking out.
I’m not packed. I’m not prepared. I’ll probably die. (I sound like Andy from last year…)
Shirley, my scooter, although a champ, worries me. I worry that she’ll break down. I worry that I’ll be run over by a cow. I worry about being hit in the face with a flying squirrel. Shirley has nearly 3,300 miles on her in just 5 months. Adding 2,600 miles to her odometer makes me proud and uneasy.
I feel like a parent whose child is ready to take their first steps. I need to let go (but hold on). I need to prepare as much as possible and enjoy the ride.
I’ve done this before, this is nothing new…
Although, this year, we don’t have a follow-car. That’s new. The trip boils down to just three men on three classic machines using our wit and good looks to get us through the Midwest to the east coast and back again… I hope I don’t get hit in the face by a flying squirrel.
I know that as soon as we get going, we’ll be fine. It’s just getting through this week… We leave in less than a week… Yikes!
It all started in 2007, with a friend driving from Minnesota to Utah to grab his scooter. Once Dustin Saunders reached Utah, he rode his scooter back to Minnesota with nothing but his friends and the will to drive it back against all odds. In 08' Dustin, Michael, and Sean embarked on a 3000+ mile trip unscathed. Ever since then, we travel in the name of adventure to the most epic places in America.

This will be a piece of cake. Our efforts combined, there is no conceivable situation we can not overcome. And we kick so much ass.
