ScooterQuest ‘08 follows three friends as they travel across the Eastern coast of the United States.
Well… Stella blew up. That’s right, my scooter is now broken down. It looks like the same problem that happened to Sean’s scooter Julia. So the crank shaft, probably a piston, and probably a ball joint will need to be replaced.
So, ScooterQuest ‘08 is down to Mike’s Shirley for now until we get back to Chicago to pick up Sean’s repaired scooter.
Damn.
Well I suppose on the coat tails of all that’s happened to me lately it’s not so bad. Should still be a fun trip to New York.
At least my butt is happy now, car seats are way more comfortable. Oh yeah, we’re in Ohio on Hwy 6. More updates later, streaming should be working fine now.

It all started in 2007, with a friend driving from Minnesota to Utah to grab his scooter. Once Dustin Saunders reached Utah, he rode his scooter back to Minnesota with nothing but his friends and the will to drive it back against all odds. In 08' Dustin, Michael, and Sean embarked on a 3000+ mile trip unscathed. Ever since then, we travel in the name of adventure to the most epic places in America.

That really blows. Is it some kind of defect in the bikes design? or just random bad luck?
hugs all around

Probably a combo of both. Stella was a veteran of last year’s SQ, so she’s been through a lot of engine stress. I just hope my comprehensive AllState insurance will cover the repair (roughly $1000).
