Dear Time, Slow Down!!!

Love, Sean.

I had a festival of events happen yesterday. From finally setting up the UMPC laptop for Scooter Quest, Ordering the mount for the laptop to go on the scooter, getting the trailer fixed so I can haul my scooter to Minnesota, Picking up my scooter from the shop with a new exhaust and rear rack, to the bad. Examples would be the scooter having the wrong rear rack, the scooters front being severely bent up after hauling it on the trailer, I haven’t resolved the issue of the wireless internet access I will have while streaming, and most importantly, no one has a hitch that will fit my car.

So the two most important items have still yet to be done with Scooter Quest coming in 4 days and I have to leave two days early to get there. My team mates have quite alot to worry about. I’m sure thier #1 concern is that their veteran scooters have quite a trip ahead of them, but I have to tell Dustin and Michael something: You don’t have to travel two days time THEN go on a scooter ride for over 2600 miles and so much more. But I don’t want to single myself out between us three. The fact is that, D-Day is at our doorstep, and I think the stress and anxiety are starting to hit all three of us.

Stella And Shirley have been out and about with well over 3000 miles on both scooters each, which means they are quite broken in and are a safe bet for a fun ride. My newest scooter, Julia, is a fresh scooter. With less than 200 miles, she has a long ways to go before she is broken in.

So with our troubles starting to shine out like a sore thumb, we will prevail. And do so with smiles on our faces!

Stay tuned for more info!

Freaking.

About this blog

It all started in 2007, with a friend driving from Minnesota to Utah to grab his scooter. Once Dustin Saunders reached Utah, he rode his scooter back to Minnesota with nothing but his friends and the will to drive it back against all odds. In 08' Dustin, Michael, and Sean embarked on a 3000+ mile trip unscathed. Ever since then, we travel in the name of adventure to the most epic places in America.
