I woke up this morning (by morning, I mean 11:50 am) and started my daily routine of emails, calling a few people and some brunch. After helping with a local barbecue (I don’t want to see steak for a long time.) After I became extremely motivated to have my scooter modded out with the proper equipment to stream the entire event live! But I’m not an electrician. So I called in a favor from an engineering genius… My co worker and friend Mike.

I’ve only known Mike for less than a year, but hes a stand up American and expert on and off the computer. From electronics, to mechanics, this man has “The Knack.”

I’m very happy I could rely on him on assisting me with installing the cigarette lighter so I could draw power to whatever I need. The installation of the cigarette lighter itself was quite easy and very little wiring even shows. It’s like it was always there! The entire project took a little over two hours and was quite painless.

So with that said, I do want to publish an open message to Mike: “Thanks man! I’m SO in your debt! You really helped this Scooter Quest happen!” After a test run around the neighborhood I realized quite a few things about having this installed:

  • I can’t carry many flammable items in my glove compartment anymore
  • Running down your battery is a MAJOR issue if you don’t have a relay
  • If you want to mess with your scooter, be sure you know what you are doing… if not, I think you deserve what is coming to you (Hint: Lots of pain and explosions!)

There is a local scooter ride in Utah valley in the 16th if anyone wants to see my dirty work over at The Scooter Lounge at 6 o’clock! If you aren’t there, or can’t make it, then be sure to check out the website later on the 16th for pictures, and videos!

Sean OUT!
