ScooterQuest ‘08 follows three friends as they travel across the Eastern coast of the United States.
The open road is full of dangers, especially when traveling via scooters. On the repair front, Sean’s scooter will be ready in a few days. I am getting a new seat for free but Stella is out of commission for the rest of the trip.
Damn again.
We put on plenty of miles today. Sean and I both put on roughly 140 miles on Shirley and Mike finished out tonight with about 60. Though, today was the first day that he had not been on his scooter the whole day. Shirley is still having some engine heat issues, hopefully it will be fine- but it’s acting like mine was before it blew.
Riding Mike’s scooter made me miss mine very much. You learn to drive your scooter and it becomes an extension of your body- but riding with someone else’s configuration is odd.
We’ve spent a lot of time together. Mike and Sean had a spat, so we hunkered down early. Should be better tomorrow when we hit New York early afternoon.
I’m still having a blast. And Sean snores so loud…
Stay cool,
-Dustin
It all started in 2007, with a friend driving from Minnesota to Utah to grab his scooter. Once Dustin Saunders reached Utah, he rode his scooter back to Minnesota with nothing but his friends and the will to drive it back against all odds. In 08' Dustin, Michael, and Sean embarked on a 3000+ mile trip unscathed. Ever since then, we travel in the name of adventure to the most epic places in America.
